Our PeopleWhat I doI joined Pioneer as a customer service representative in 1999, was promoted to divisional sales associate; then to regional sales specialist for the New England territory. For the past three years, I've been living in Indiana working as a Pioneer wholesaler managing a territory that includes four mid-western states. And I'm traveling to places I never thought I'd see. As a wholesaler, my ultimate goal is to help increase the firm's assets. My day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with financial advisers across my territory. It begins with educating them about Pioneer and our investment process. Then I help them understand how our products can complement their clients' financial plans. A typical week In my business, I work with a lot of individual financial planners. That means that I'm on the road a lot. During a typical week, I'm in a hotel three nights, driving between 500 and 1,000 miles, and meeting with roughly 50-75 financial advisers. My goal is to retain current clients and bring new ones on board by ensuring a positive business experience time and again. Though I manage a territory I also work as part of a larger team that includes eight other wholesalers. Together with our sales manager we have weekly conference calls, share sales ideas and highlight success stories. Working with such a great team motivates me to be the best wholesaler I can be. It's one of the things I like most about working at Pioneer. A great place to grow I think that there's no better place than Pioneer to pursue a financial services career whether you're just starting out or if you're a seasoned professional. Management support is top notch here. And having that kind of commitment is critical to getting to the next level. |
